Welcome

 Classical Jam, a Lanark (Ontario) based small community string ensemble (we have folks joining us from Ardoch, Renfrew, McDonald's Corners, Maberly, Carleton Place, Almonte and Perth as well), came together under the guidance of Cynthia Carver to learn to play classical music together.  The first members were (and some of them still) playing in other community string ensembles such as the Blue Skies Community Orchestra. Over the years, the group has grown and expanded the repertoire to include everything from classical music to pop to folk to Broadway.  Our conductor is Ruthanne Fryer, a retired music teacher, who is leading us to perform in many settings for an eclectic mix of audiences.  Our string band performs several concerts a year with a variety of musical genres for the senior living community, which are very well received.
